Welcome to the Israeli Injured Workers Association
The Israeli Injured Workers Association (INA) was established in 1956 to protect the nation’s injured and disabled workers and their widows. Since that time we have grown into a network of 41,000 members around the country. INA safeguards the rights of our members and provides a wide range of activities and services.
Message from INA Chair
I first became acquainted with INA about a decade ago when I myself was injured in a work-related accident. I bega as a volunteer at the Be’er Sheva branch with the great desire to help, knowing first-hand that the smallest gestures can change lives.
Over the years I became familiar with the hardships of the members of our organization, and the various public systems that a person with disabilities encounters. Often, there is a gap between the needs of the people and services available– that is where we come in to help.
We write letters, make phone calls and otherwise intervene on behalf of our members. Essentially, we refuse to give up! We are driven by the right of every person and family to live a full life, earn a decent living, be independent and contribute their best to Israeli society.
We continue to work to promote the rights of injured workers vis-à-vis various public institutions by providing guidance to ensure the full rights and benefits of our members. We also advocate on behalf of our members and others; we are currently working to strike down the law that strips a widow of her benefits if she remarries.
I invite you to visit one of our centers and see first-hand the way INA is truly a home for all its members.
